I was watching a story on Hip-Hop Wives, when I realized, none of these women look like the women in the music videos. Why are hip-hop artist selling us an image of women that they do not buy into themselves?
Snoop’s wife is certainly attractive in her own right, but we will all agree Summer Walker is definitely in a different class of beauty. This prompted a new series, Hip-Hop Wives vs Hip-Hop Models. Stay tuned there is definitely more to come.

The Best Dress:
Rihanna was so beautiful last night. She looked clean and refreshing in her all white. Ciara got a new pose, and it works. Her mouth isn’t open and she’s not winking or waving.
McLyte looks young, and slim, and feminine. That’s always a plus. Vivica looked so pretty on stage, she had a glow. This is the first time since Top Model that Eva looks like a model to me. Eva was Elegant and it’s a tie between Eva and Rihanna for best dress in my book.

The Worst Dress:
I’m just disappointed in Eve. Usually she wows me with her ecletic style. Eve is like the hip-hop version of Gwen Stefani and her L.A.M.B collection, but last night Eve just missed. Keyshia tried, that’s all I can say. She looked better in the wife beater on stage. LeToya look like she’s going to prom. Not bad, just not wowzers.

Tameka Foster: I knew he was the man for me when I told him personal things about me and he didn’t flinch. I never felt like he judged me. Instead, he just accepted me for who I am. Overall, I have issues that a person could either love or hate, but he accepted me completely. And every day he still treats me like we just met. He opens my car door, calls me to ask if I need anything. He gives a 100 percent and doesn’t waver on consistency.
Essence.com: Aww, Black love. So why do you think people still believe your relationship is a publicity stunt?
T.F.: That’s so foolish. Usher doesn’t have to date any woman to sell albums. He has one of the best voices and can outperform almost anyone. He naturally garners attention wherever he goes. The fact is he has many options and could have chosen to be with anyone, including a Hollywood actress that the press would have loved to write about daily.
Essence.com: I hear you have a 10 carat ring.
T.F.: Actually, it’s bigger. It’s 11.5 carats Asscher [Escher] cut. A man is not going to go out and buy 11-plus carats to be playing games. If that were the case, he could have just said he was engaged rather than go through the motions.
